Essex Engineering is an Australian company that has been operating since 1982 and since 1986 has specialised in the design and manufacture of hydraulic Quick Hitches.

25 Tonne Class

Essex Engineering started manufacturing Quick Hitches in Sydney Australia but in 2000 we bought larger and more conducive premises for the specialised nature of Quick Hitch manufacture and moved the business to Wollongong.

Our new Auto Latch Hitch uses the same basic design as the original Essex Lock-Hitch® built in 1986 except it now incorporates a safety bar that engages automatically on attaching the implement.

Our full range of hitches have the automatic safety system. The range of hitches are for excavators and backhoes from 2.5 tonne to 40 tonne class. All our hitches are designed and manufactured in house at our Wollongong premises.
